The Royal Highland Show is one of the biggest events in Edinburgh & Lothians and highlight of the Scottish country calendar.

For four days every June families flock to the Royal Highland Show to touch, taste, see and hear the very best Scotland has to offer by way of entertainment, childrens' activities, outdoor living & countryside, shopping & fashion, food & drink and the finest farmyard animals. Experience the atmosphere of this exciting event between 20 - 23 June 2013.

With a reputation for one of the best days out in the country, the show is the finest way to experience all that's great about Scotland so indulge your love of food, farming and countryside pursuits. If you are searching for inspiration to liven up your larder, leisure time, wardrobe or knowledge of wildlife, then the show is the place to head. There's so much on - watch with amazement at falconry and gun dog displays, laugh out loud at the chaos that is terrier racing, and of course, see an unrivalled array of livestock.

For those involved in the competitive side of the Royal Highland Show, it’s a serious business. Nearly 2,000 entries, representing well over 5,000 individual animals, are received each year and the prestige of winning at the Royal Highland Show makes the competition intense. It's not just the best livestock that are judged. The finest foods, traditional skills and show jumping are also assessed with the winners receiving highly coveted prizes.
