Edinburgh and the Lothians offer a variety of entertainment with a number of comedy clubs, cinemas and other events.
The Stand Comedy Club is where the world's top comedians perform during the festival, and the rest of the year it hosts a nightly array of new and established comedy talent.
Highlight is another great comedy club in the Omni Centre which offers shows every Friday and Saturday, with a disco after so you can enjoy a dance to the best chart and party music once you’ve finally stopped laughing.
There are a number of cinemas in Edinburgh and the Lothians showing the latest blockbusters, arthouse films and classic movies.
Down in Morningside is the authentic Dominion Cinema, which was built in 1938 and is now a listed building. Retaining all the original charm and character, you can enjoy an old movie experience with rows of spacious seating and reclining chairs in this glamorous cinema.

The venue is open seven days a week until 3am and hosts a range of jazz, blues and rock artists and has featured performances from Chaka Khan, The Stylistics, The Specials and of course, Jools and his Rhythm 'n' Blues Orchestra.
