Scott Monument

Climb up Edinburgh's 200-foot gothic rocketship and experience its first-ever photography exhibition. The monument was built to commemorate Sir Walter Scott, one of Scotland's greatest novelists. Scale 287 steps through the internal stairways to each of the four viewing galleries, experiencing the exhibition on the way.

Scottish Parliament

Design and Demoncracy' features 16 graduates from Scotland’s four art schools. The display is to showcase how inspired design can be both life enhancing and creative. The exhibition is the first to combine works from all four of Scotland’s art schools: Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee; Edinburgh College of Art; Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen; and The Glasgow School of Art.

Alasdair Gray is one of Scotland's best known authors and artists. His work combines elements of politics, poetry and magic realism, all rendered in his own unique style. This exhibition brings together a range of Gray's works, giving the audience the gift of story, song and the struggle of simply being human. Alongside the full 'Scot's Hippo' series will be a range of drawings, screen prints and paintings all rendered in Gray's clear and precise style.
