The underground vaults were created in the late 18th century and abandoned by the
1830s. They were opened again to the public in 1994. The labyrinth of corridors
and chambers you visit remained unchanged for over two hundred years. Our
guides will tell you stories of the people who inhabited these dark rooms and you will
have the opportunity to see, touch and feel the artefacts discovered when the Vaults
were excavated in the late 20th century. Visit this unique attraction and capture a very
special moment in the evolution of this city.
